Project Coordinator


Cowater is recruiting a Project Coordinator for an upcoming project in Peru. The project aims to strengthen service delivery across government levels through the implementation of streamlined Human Resources Management systems and tools, including merit-based systems and organizational restructuring. The Project Coordinator will be based full-time in Peru, supporting the in-country Project Manager with day-to-day operations.


The Administrative and Financial Officer will be based full-time in Peru, supporting the in-country Project Manager and Project Coordinator with the administration of the project.


Duties of the Project Coordinator will include:

  • Ensuring the timely and quality delivery of project outputs and deliverables;
  • Coordinating the development of technical outputs, including contributing to reporting and documentation of lessons learned;
  • Collecting, analysing and reporting on the performance and monitoring and evaluation information of the project;
  • Coordinating research and analysis, including the engagement of external technical experts, as necessary, and quality assuring all outputs;
  • Preparing annual work plans and reports;
  • Supporting annual planning processes;
  • Supporting the organization of internal and external meetings and workshops;
  • Conducting knowledge-sharing events with stakeholders and facilitating stakeholder coordination;
  • Developing tools and communication materials (e.g. brochures, outreach documents);
  • Overseeing procurement/purchasing activities for goods and equipment; and
  • Coordinating with the Financial and Administrative Officer to provide required project-related information for financial reporting and budgeting.



  • Master’s / post-graduate degree in business administration, finance, accounting, logistics, economics, international development, procurement, project management, engineering, or related field;
  • Or a bachelor’s / undergraduate degree in a relevant field plus three (3) years of equivalent professional experience.

Minimum Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years of proven experience supporting the delivery administrative, financial, procurement and logistics of projects or programs, preferably public sector initiatives.

Essential Skills:

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (oral and written);
  • Experience providing institutional capacity building (an asset);
  • Experience improving institutional and operational planning capacities in the public sector (an asset).

The role will be based full-time in Peru.
